Radix - in latin means the base or root of a plant. A sturdy base allows these baskets to function and create a sense of perma-melt.Inspired by the basketry process of weaving through spokes each basket started out with the same structure.
Each color of plastic comes from the source material, in this case a variety of translucent polypropylene objects such as; perscription bottles, cake toppers, laundry detergent caps, and tupperware lids. These objects are cleaned, sorted, shredded, and then melted over a mold.
